Did you know wiping your baby’s gums after a feeding helps reduce the risk of cavities when their teeth come in? Or that it’s recommended you should stop night feedings once the first tooth arrives? Taking care of your child’s baby teeth is important and the text message program by Bright by Three offers new parents helpful tips.
While oral health education is a dominant theme, content runs the gamut from tips on nutrition and eating to language learning, developmental games and more. Wondering when to start solid foods? There’s a tip for that. Questions about behavior and discipline? We’ll cover that, too.
The Bright by Text service is available at no charge to any family in Colorado. It delivers early childhood development information and tips directly to phones. The database includes over 260 research-based tips personally crafted by pediatricians and child development experts. Subscribers receive one to three texts per week over the course of 36 months. The goal is to help caregivers with healthy decisions until their child is three.
The coolest part? Tips are catered to the age of your child and your location based on information you provide during signup. Free flu shots in your area? We’ll let you know!
